RESPONSIBILITIES:

Diagnose computer problems efficiently in a timely manner.
Install new computer systems and peripherals, system updates, OS
Install software using disc image tools (Disk Image, Ghost, RIS)
Perform hardware related repairs
Administration within the the area of PC security (Anti-Virus, Anti-SpyWare)
Install and configure desktop software applications
Install LAN networks (Wired & Wireless)
Secure Local Area Networks

Resolve user service requests in person; educate users to maximize their effectiveness
Assisting with system management troubleshooting and functions
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
Support miscellaneous equipment in the customers home i.e. printers, PDAs,
Administer & setup Home electronics (Home theaters)
Create Hard Drive Images (Ghost)
Use remote access software; install/deploy
Create & document “How To’s” and hold training sessions for new users

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a 2 year related Diploma (Computer Studies) along with a minimum of 2 year relevant experience (combinations of education and experience may be considered). A+ Certification is a must. Training and experience in local area networks, laptop/desktop computers, windows operating systems, MS Office applications and general software installation.  Good communication skills (English) and interpersonal skills.  Be able to work with little to no supervision. Have reliable transportation.

We are currently looking for a Help Desk Analyst who will be responsible for the support of our corporate clients and their hardware and software applications. Some application training will be needed; however the majority of the support is Microsoft Office applications, email support and network connectivity issues. Duties will involve , end-user computer support, packaged software and hardware support and remote  upgrades. Internal application testing and deployment, business processes and documentation of all systems and customer needs. Experience with the Remedy support ticket systems is an asset.

Qualifications:

You have a college diploma in a computer related area with a minimum of 2 years experience in network administration and computer and software support / management. Personal computer experience with a knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, servers, hardware, third party remote access programs, backup systems and procedures. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to troubleshoot and are flexible and adaptable to changes of responsibility and shift requirements reflective of our business needs. A+ certification is a must. MCSA is nice to have. Some network trouble shooting is necessary; the applicant should have an excellent working knowledge of WAN, LAN networks as well as Cisco knowledge  such as routers, switches, catalysts etc.
